Rufus Moody was born in Skidigate in 1923. The Son of Arthur Moody, Cheif of the Tanu, and a son of Thomas Moody. Rufus was a very prolific Carver, and holder of many records, including the worlds tallest totem pole at over 6 feet, and a holder of the order of Canada medal. A great contributor to the art of the Haida. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 75.
