Andrew Dexel is an emerging artist from the Nlakapmux Nation and uses his native name, Enpaauk. His painting style mixes the free-flowing graffiti style with the powerful North West Coast design creating figurative and abstract images that speak to resistance and renewal. His beginnings as a graffiti or street artist is central to his style and since his switch from walls to canvas in 2005 he has brought this energy from the street into his creative paintings. His work has been featured in the Kamloops Art Gallery's exhibition Shazam and is also featured at the Native Winds Gallery in Honolulu. It has recently been published in Blood Lines Magazine. His original acrylic paintings on canvas are vibrant and contemporary.
